About the Author- “Hi, I’m Leslie….I’m a trained observer who likes to write and tell stories. Growing up in a small Alabama town, I became intrigued by people and their quirky lives. I learned everyone has interesting stories, Even me.Some people have a stroke of luck; I had a stroke at birth. I am a lover of color in a black and white world.”
About the book- After Everyone Else is about how Bailey and her marriage are tested by a demanding job, a challenging child and murder charges of her ex-husband a famous TV chef who she hasn't seen in 20 years….and yet her DNA is all over his apartment and his body… It's about the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love. After Everyone Else is told alternatively in now and then chapters, that will have you turning the pages to get to the end. This novel poses the provocative question "who do you put first, your husband or your children? At its core it is a story about how our past is never really gone, how forgiveness is hard but necessary, and the "resilient" love we save for the person we love after everyone else.
Both Leslie’s novel After Everyone Else and Mary Martha Greene’s cookbook The Cheese Biscuit Queen will be sold at the event.
